During the last 4 years, fishing communities of the various Autonomous Communities of Spain have been working to promote management initiatives that seek the sustainable use of fishing resources and the good health of marine ecosystems. Artisan fishers, managers, researchers, and NGOs seek to establish governance systems and effective fishing policies that satisfy their joint interests.
